Though philanthropy and social events are an important part of life as an Alpha Phi, we place an equal emphasis on scholarship. Through scholarship we become well rounded and prepared for the future. Our chapter's scholarship program assists members in attaining their academic goals, through study hours, test files, and incentives for those who make outstanding grades.
Many believe that being in a sorority will cause academic work to suffer. In reality, the opposite is true. Alpha Phi encourages members to make school their top priority. Many of our members are also members of the Greek honor society, Order of Omega, which recognizes Junior or Senior members of Greek organizations who have GPAs at or above the all-Greek system average. Our chapter boasts a collective GPA far above that of the University of Texas at Austin campus. In addition, we have numerous members who regularly achieve University Honors as well as the Dean's List.
